Start Again: Sprint (Faction Edition)
START AGAIN: SPRINT — Free Preview
Civilisation has fallen. Now you decide who rebuilds it.
Start Again is a turn-based geopolitical strategy board game where rival factions claw their way back from collapse — racing to rebuild population, economy, and military before their rivals seize the ruins first.
⚔️ How to play
- Phase 1 — The Spiral: Move along the spiral path, claiming resources and staking early territory.
- Phase 2 — The Grid: The board opens into an open grid for large-scale maneuvering, expansion, and all-out conflict.
- Manage two lifelines: spend gears (currency) to build and fund, and protect your hearts (population) — lose your people and you lose the game.
- Command an army: deploy Rifles, Armor, Howitzers, and Cruise Missiles, each with distinct roles.
- Wage siege & seize territory: surround, pressure, and capture enemy strongholds.

🛡️ Features
- Deep two-phase board with escalating strategy
- Resource & economy management (banking, funding, growth)
- Leader and faction powers plus policy cards that reshape each match
- Territory control, siege mechanics, and victory-point racing
- Play in your browser — no download required

🌍 Free preview vs. full game
This Sprint preview is a fully playable slice of Start Again. It is actively being developed, so some features are still being refined. The complete game — with the full campaign, expanded factions, and more — will be available to buy here on itch.io and via the official website.

Playtest question for anyone who tries it: where did the Spiral -> Grid shift click for you, and where did you have to stop and reread? One line is plenty - it helps me a lot.
